Capital Blue Cross has been a guiding force in the communities since 1938 and has provided the people of our 21-county service area with low cost medical and dental insurance and other health insurance products since 1938.

Our members in central Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley know of our reputation for excellence in customer service, and today we are thriving as a full-service health insurer—committed to offering a wide variety of easy-to-use, comprehensive and innovative health-care products for employer groups and our members.

We have a broad-reaching physician network, with more than 11,000 professional providers available to deliver care to our members. We are proud to work with each of the 37 hospitals in our service area to give our members the choice to use the hospital they want and know.

Capital Blue Cross, headquartered in Harrisburg, is one of the area’s largest employers, with more than 2,000 employees.  Together with our talented workforce, we are dedicated to supporting the communities in which we live and work.
